St. John of the Cross- Leon Cristiani

St. John of the Cross stands, as the doctor of Love and Prayer, especially mystical prayer, (which is studied in mystical theology). The teachings he gave to the Christian body of doctrine are extremely important in our day and age, and we hope that this book encourages the avid reader to go and take from the fountains of his spiritual writings.

The Carmelite founder emphasized the need to ignore “feelings” and “emotions” and give more priority to the Faith. An incredibly important safeguard against the future errors of modernism. He clarified the di􀄍erent stages through which a soul goes, as sanctity is reached, something no one (save St. Teresa) had done so clearly and methodically.
